THIS OCTOBER, THE FUTURE IS SOUND RETURNS WITH FOUR DAYS OF CONNECTED EXPERIENCES EXPLORING HOW MUSIC AND SOUND ARE SHAPING THE FUTURE OF HUMAN EXPERIENCE.
Across four days, artists, thinkers and cultural pioneers will come together for a series of conversations, live performances and immersive experiences hosted at some of London's most iconic cultural venues, including the Barbican Centre, EartH Theatre and Ladbroke Hall, with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
Now entering its seventh year, THE FUTURE IS SOUND has grown into a leading cultural platform exploring one simple but increasingly important question:

At a time when music is influencing everything from wellbeing and technology to cities, creativity and connection, we believe its role extends far beyond entertainment. Music has the power to change how we feel, how we think and how we experience the world around us.
This year's programme continues that exploration through a carefully curated series of connected experiences, bringing together pioneering artists, emerging talent and bold ideas from across music, culture and beyond.
The 2026 edition will unfold across three distinctive experiences:
The Barbican Centre will host our flagship summit, bringing together leading artists, innovators and cultural voices for a full day of conversations, performances and ideas exploring the future of music and human experience.
Ladbroke Hall will provide a more intimate gathering, creating space for conversation, connection and shared experiences beyond the main stage.
EartH Theatre will once again become home to THE FUTURE IS SOUND: LIVE — the immersive finale to our London programme, bringing together pioneering and emerging artists imagining what's next for live performance.
