Originally hailing from Chicago but now based in London, Kate Simko is an electronic music producer, film composer, live performer and of course a globe-trotting DJ. Always bursting with creativity and always at the forefront, Kate’s music reflects the city's underground sounds as well her background in classical piano and jazz music.

Kate Simko shines through with her modern Chicago-influenced sound. Kate was welcomed into the dance music scene via the iconic Spectral Sound label alongside Matthew Dear, Ryan Elliot and Seth Troxler. A classically trained musician with Chicago roots, her diverse musical background emanates throughout. Whether remixing Philip Glass or Guy Gerber, touring an interactive audio-visual live set, forming her own electronic-classical ensemble, scoring a feature film, or launching an electronic-hybrid show for a 70-piece orchestra with Jamie Jones, Kate consistently pushes the boundaries of dance music.

Those with longer memories may recall that Kate teamed up with UK house music legend Jamie Jones to create a classical electronic hybrid live show called Opus 1. This dynamic duo sold out the Barbican Centre back in 2018 and their debut album is now complete: you can expect to hear the first fruits of this new project early in 2026.
