Carl Loben is the editor-in-chief of DJ Magazine. In parallel with a 27-year career in music journalism, Carl is also a DJ and has played at many great clubs and festivals in many different countries.

He started off DJing at various venues in London in the 1990s, and writing about emerging electronic acts for the weekly music paper Melody Maker. He began working for DJ Mag in the late ‘90s, and has met and interviewed many of the main players in electronic music over the years. He’s also
